We have many things to be grateful for as we begin a new year. Amidst the global and personal challenges of 2020, God continued to work in seen and unseen ways in our lives and in this ministry. Sometimes He has required us to grow in our faith and patience, but He is always faithful!
SPECIAL DELIVERY
First off, we’re praising God that our well truck is at last on the island of La Gonâve in Bethesda! We’ve waited years for this vision to become reality, and are making plans for getting a well-drilling team there soon. They will continue the work already begun, seeking to get access to fresh water for the people in this area. Along with the truck, all the contents of the shipping container that was sent months ago have made it to Bethesda, including equipment, building materials, food, and bunk beds for the children.
In November, we sent a team from New Beginnings Christian Fellowship to complete some work. Here is some of what they accomplished:
CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES
Pastor Micler and the team there have been busy working and ministering. Building projects continue with a new sanctuary building going up, additions being added to the main home to house boys’ and girls’ sleeping quarters, an expansion on the kitchen, and an addition to the school building.
For Giving Tuesday this year (December 1, 2020), we shared the need for new batteries for the solar energy system. Thanks to the generous response of many, we raised over $7000! This will purchase batteries and pay for their transport and other expenses.
A NEW YEAR
Now, in 2021, we are in a new year, and we look forward to seeing Him move beyond anything we’ve thought or imagined thus far! Please continue to pray for us and the people of La Gonâve. Contact us to see how you can give or get involved. We would love for you to join the team!
